What I Need to Hear Today

It would be nice if everyone respected you. If you got to have everything you wanted. Some people do get to live this way, and others will never know what this feels like and its sad. Can you control your emotions? Can you handle your buttons and triggers? This has been a huge challenge for me most of my life, so if you are able to do this you are ahead of the game. It has been a weird but wonderful time trying to reflect on things that have happened. Things make more sense afterwards and you can see where people were coming from. What happens if you show who you truly are and suddenly you are standing alone? You live your life your way. What do you do if you have all your friends surrounding you? You live your life your way. Nothing must change regardless of your circumstance. The same mindset needs to come into play, and you need to be able to maintain your focus on what you want. You need to make sure you are having enough experiences that you love doing or want to do. Finding something that you enjoy can be uplifting on its own. When you get that excited feeling that everything is fresh, and you are experiencing things for the first time. Noone can take that feeling away from you when it happens. The trivial things are what matter and that is one of them. Are you improving on yourself? Spending time knowing more about yourself? People will get you distracted from your goals and what you want to do. You want to free yourself from those people because they are not doing you any good. If you want to get inspired, the best person to feel inspired by, it should be yourself. When you are hard on yourself you need to understand and point out the good things about you. For every harsh thing you catch yourself saying, then say a wonderful thing about yourself. Incorrect way: “Why did you do that, you never think.” Correct way: “Its ok that happened and here is how we can move on.” Becoming your own best friend. It makes me think of the hippie culture, but it will work when your brain absorbs it enough. If you keep giving yourself positive traits about yourself, you will start to feel those things and feel more confident about yourself. I know because I have done this, and it has been working for me. When my brain connects to the good things, it becomes part of your daily routine. Over time this will build a positive foundation for yourself internally on which you can rely. I will always state, and I still do it as a bad habit, but please do not talk badly about yourself or be too hard on yourself. Look at your career and what you want to accomplish. How can you get from where you are now to where you want to be? It all just depends on what you want to be and how much effort you want to give.
