Unhealthy Habits Ruin Your Life

Sometimes we do not think we are making progress with our lives or situation, and we can take it out on ourselves. Other times, we are not making progress, and we need to look at what may be wrong or interfering with us. Both situations are common, and both situations have answers to them. We must first take a closer look to see if we are making progress or not moving at all. We examine the situation and ask ourselves if we are any closer to our goal. You will usually have an idea if you are or not from examining the situation. Once you know you can either continue because you know you are on the right track. You can also plan to get you back on track or moving again. Thinking about what is not working and how you resolve this. Sometimes the easy answer is the right answer. I cannot count how many times I have not been able to think of an answer to a problem or question and then when I start at the most logical point or beginning point that can lie the key. So now when I am going through my process, I will start with the simplest answer before jumping to the exciting complex ones. This will save you time and raise your confidence when you solve the problem. I was thinking about this because I am realizing I am closer to some goals, but other things slip away. Trying to find a way to stay balanced or on track is my mission now. Try to eliminate more of the unhealthy habits and replacing them with the good ones. What is a bad habit? A bad habit is something when you think about how you spend your time with it and is it adding or subtracting to your life. If I play video games all day and lose my job, do I have a bad habit? Some might say I would. If I gamble away my rent money and end up on the street, do I have a bad habit? These are very extreme cases, but you can see if I examine my time playing video games or look at the amount of money I am gambling away then I get my answer to my problem. Remember we must do things ON OUR TIME not on someone else’s time. It can be disheartening and hurt when you see someone get something or accomplish something you do not have. How do I get away from this? Refocus on yourself and your needs every time this thought comes up. Replace it with helping yourself and turn your bad habit into a strength over time. At least if you are spending the time on yourself, you can see the benefits from this. The more we run to something else is the more we need to be running to ourselves. I was starting to enjoy the summer too much and getting into that comfortable feeling. Now I must get out of it and get back to business. Staying focused always feels like a different kind of workout.
