The Truth About Us

The differences could mean the difference in everything between something good and something bad happening. Never feel discouraged about the missed opportunities because that is a waste. Move on to the next thing that you want. If I want to work for General Motors, I get an interview, get excited about the job and everything, and then I do not end up getting it. I got myself all excited, thought it was the right place and the right time. There will not be a General Motors coming at my door every day of the week. But then it turns out Volkswagen is willing to pay me more money, and I can have more rewards, rewards, more of the things I want. I put all my eggs into thinking I was going to get the General Motors job planning for it and doing everything. I did not end up getting it and it crushed my world, but my world felt reshaped when an even better opportunity for myself came in. The point is that is how I have felt about life and seen in action for myself. I may not get my dream job, but I do end up getting A DREAM JOB. This type of thinking to me can lead you right to what you want and are looking for. We do this with schools we want to attend, jobs we want to find, places we want to be. The gift of not getting what you want but getting something better sounds good to me. The toughness, the sweat, the tears are worth everything. Do not belittle them and your efforts and making things better for yourself. Instead embrace what is working for you and what you want more of. We know what we do not like but show more of what you do like. You do not need to force things upon people, but you can certainly try to intrigue them. I know I have never heard anyone tell me “Would you stop trying to intrigue me?” See that I think would be weird if that happened. Appreciate what you like in others and keep those judgements to yourself. We know what we like and dislike. This does not mean everything need to get brough out in the open. The things that I can appreciate in someone are endless. I may like a speech that they worked hard on and gave good eye contact and were engaging the audience. I might like someone for the way they study for tests and their ability to be able to remember and understand tough concepts. I may just like someone, because of the way they think about the world. This is the type of stuff I would want to see more of in the world and be engaged with. Instead of the pettiness, drama, fighting over things that do not matter. Why are we not fighting or engaging more in things that bring out the good in people? We can always do better, and we can always choose the path we want to take.
