We want to believe fairness rules in all situations, but does this happen? No, it does not always happen. What we want and what can end up happening are two separate things. What we can hope for is that things turn out fair more than the other way and I have seen that depending on the situation. Life is already tough and feeling like you got the bad hand is a big comedown. Remember we cannot control the cards that we end up with, but you can learn how to use them. Learn how to use your gifts because that is your superpower. It is tough when we must watch unfair things happen, but that does not mean you have to do nothing when it comes up. You can always bring out your best side and do what you feel is right. Is nobody rushing to your side and it looks embarrassing being the only one? That is fine be the only because that could mean the others are scared and you get to be the one that shows their bravery to us all. It is very brave no matter what ends up said about you standing up for what you feel is right. I am not talking about the person that is shoving it in your face and saying my way is the only way. No need to be starting things in that way. Just bring out how you feel about the situation, why it is bothering you, your view on what needs to happen and then you can rest. You took a stand and do not have to feel guilty later about not doing something, because you did enough. Tell yourself that you did enough and understand that it was worth it. We all can get scared at various times, but if you find yourself staying strong in a challenging moment then feel free to show the brave side of yourself. It is about having a voice, and you have that. Being in a place that allows you to express your voice and I hope you have that, as well. The world is tough, and you can be tough in your own way. Just remember if you feel somebody projecting anything onto you, just smile and move on. This can be tough to do as a child but remember the strength and bravery you have. The unfair times that happen are not an excuse to avoid being fair ourselves, if that is what we want. Remember just because something bad happens to you never makes it ok to pass that to others. The nightmare is always what you could have done, and it does not need to be what I did end up doing. Everybody is afraid and everybody can be strong. Fear does not make you weaker, just like being kind or fair does not make you weak. You want to play who can do something first by all means go jumping in the pool, because I will just be watching. You do not owe anyone an explanation for your choices, and it should be fair for others to respect that.
