Bring in the Light

What does paradise look like? Have you been there before or maybe recently? I want to visit my paradise right now. The happy place that makes your heart feel good and you start to light up. When you relax, forgive, and love yourself and everything around you. In these times, I find it even more important for people to find the time for the things they care about. I see people chasing one thing after another and never being satisfied. That is human nature, and we want everything. I want to go against that trend and purposely go the other way. There is always one path most people will take or advise you take. I want to know what is on the other side. We have an idea of where we are going when we take the easy path. Isn’t it fun to try something challenging or different? Everyone wants the money, power, status, etc. so I am going to sit back and watch the show in my paradise. There are things that I want that I will go after, but I always feel the need to be in control in that way. When we truly desire something, I believe we will always make the effort to have it. When something is a priority or important to them nothing will stop it from happening. Everyone has responsibilities and they can weigh heavily. You can see the anger or feel the frustration when something does not go their way. I feel like somewhere in our human nature we do believe in the Ricky Bobby motto “If you are not first, you are last.” Remember that there is always room at the top and if you do not see room, you make the room. People cannot ignore you when you make it happen, and you would be setting the way for the future. There are plenty of people trying to help and make a difference by being there for others. I know that this exists, but I also know that I have a unique style that does not exist in anyone else. No matter what anyone tells me, nobody can replace me. If I am unique, then that means I must be valuable. If I am valuable, then I need to make sure I am safe and taken care of. That is why I have heard others and agree with them that if you really have a low opinion of yourself, start at the bottom. Start by treating yourself like you would treat your favorite person or thing in the world. Show yourself the same love you would show the person and then eventually replace the thought of that person with yourself. When you can treat yourself nicely when you are thinking it is you, then you will to me have a healthier mental view of yourself. There are people that have their self-confidence at 1,000 and those that have it at 1. You work to the skills and person that you are. Nobody is the same, but you can use the same methods in your own way to help you in life.
