Who Let the Sewer in Here?

I need to learn to continue to stop trying to control things and let them go. We want things a certain way, but that way may not be what is right for us. We think we would be happy with something and then we end up not happy when we get it. Letting things play out and just going along for the ride is the strategy I know needs to feel worked on now. The chasing does not work out and is never worth it. The wanting of something is never worth it, so just let it go. Think about better things that can help you and let the rest of it disappear. Think about the strength it takes to get yourself out of a hole and end up on top again. Think about the patience and energy gained from being able to save the time chasing and spend it on something productive. Let the games play out and let us see what ends up happening. If someone ever wants a show, then it is the time to give them a show. We do not need to be on all the time or have it together. That seems exhausting and unrealistic to me, so I will make my new path. Just making footprints in the snow where you can see the tracks of people. Have you ever seen a footprint set end up completely off everybody else? That is the person that I will be looking to follow or look for inspiration from. I like it because it is refreshing to me and it makes sense to me. Things did not make much sense before, but now they are starting to come into shape. The things I worry about now are certainly not the things I would worry about years ago. Having more of an appreciative mindset has helped improve my ways of thinking. Let the confetti fly and everything go to flames or success in front of your eyes. The clouds will clear and you will end up seeing a brand-new picture. It could end up being one that you fall in love with. To anybody that wants to bring another down, I say let the control go and let it happen. See where this so-called game leads you. It could be the new game night, but something tells me we outgrow the games. I have outgrown plenty of things and one of them is the stuff some people will just try to get you to believe. Thinking it can be in your best interest when it ends up designed to make you fail. These are not games like Monopoly but could lead to fighting just the same. This is the nasty stuff you wish you never had to see, but it makes its way to your doorstep. Some of the things I have had to believe now makes me laugh because it can be outrageous. Trying to let the control go means seeing all the crusty stuff come up, but I will just have to bring it up to the surface with me.
